Mega Cat Studios and ZPF Team have released a new lore trailer for ZPF, their upcoming 16-bit shoot ’em up for Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.
Following a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over 1000% of its goal last July, ZPF unveils a new lore trailer. Narrated by the endearingly cozy Quibley, the trailer introduces players to the game’s uniquely strange world, showcasing its bizarre landscapes, unusual enemies, and challenging bosses.
ZPF is a retro-inspired, horizontal shoot ’em up (SHMUP) adventure for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. Prepare for a mesmerizing journey through fantastical spaces, where you’ll face off against unique enemies and battle a gauntlet of wicked 16-bit bosses.
Mega Cat Studios and ZPF Team have announced a slight delay in the fulfillment of their highly anticipated 16-bit shoot ’em up, ZPF.
Originally slated for an earlier release, the game’s publisher has confirmed a new fulfillment date of May.
The delay stems from unforeseen vendor issues related to the holiday season, impacting the timely arrival of necessary materials.
The development team assures backers that the game is essentially complete. They are currently focusing on the final touches, including incorporating backer names from the “Knight of Legend” tiers. This added time will also be used for further playtesting and quality assurance, ensuring a polished and bug-free experience for every player.
While acknowledging that any delay is frustrating, the publishers expressed gratitude for their backers’ patience.
They emphasized their commitment to delivering a top-quality product and promised to expedite fulfillment if the delayed materials arrived sooner than expected.
The May timeframe represents a firm target, albeit slightly later than hoped, for everyone to finally get their hands on ZPF and experience the unforgettable 16-bit action.
The team is confident that the additional time allotted will allow them to deliver the fantastic gameplay experience promised to their loyal backers.
